Oita Airport (大分空港 Ōita Kūkō?) is an airport in Kunisaki, Ōita, Japan, near the city of Ōita (IATA: OITICAO: RJFO).

Getting to Ōita from Airport

Distance (by land) to the city is about 60 kilometers (37 miles)

The fastest way to get to Oita city is to take a hovercraft which crosses the bay.

The Hovercraft terminal is next to the Airport. The trip takes about 30 minutes and costs 2950 yen (one way). It is a somewhat noisy ride and not recommended when there are rough seas.

A taxi would take slightly less than an hour and would cost about 15,000 yen.

There is a bus from the airport to the city, which costs 1500 yen.
