The 2000-2006 Shebaa Farms conflict was a low level border conflict comprised of frequent Hezbollah rocket and mortar attacks on the Israeli Defense Forces, which used to respond with artillery barrages in the Shebaa Farms area. Hezbollah-Israel clashes continued despite the Israeli retreat from South Lebanon in 2000. The attacks came to an end after the 2006 Lebanon War.
