Agropecol -Agropecuaria Colombiana
Agropecol. Agricultural-Economic Magazine published in Bogotá, Colombia. Publisher and Editor of this publication was the Colombian Journalist Alvaro Bayona Gomez, who created it in 1973. This publication was preceded by La Vaquerita, a similar monthly magazine published at the end of 1972 by Bayona Gomez and a relative of him, Gabriel Bayona Gonzalez, an agronomist. La Vaquerita dealt with breeders and stockbreeders and livestock. La Vaquerita just published one issue.
In September 16, 1979 terrorists exploited a bomb in front of the building of Agropecol. No body was injured, but cause a lot of damages in the neighbourhood .
Agropecol was published monthly since 1973 until 1988, when Bayona Gomez fearing threats against his live had to closed out the magazine.
Some of the columnists of the magazine were successful economists who share their points of view with the people involve with economic matters. One of them was Jorge Restrepo Palacios.
