Alipur is a tehsil, (an administrative subdivision), of Muzaffargarh District in the Punjab province of Pakistan1.

History

Factually Alipur was a part of State Seet Pur. About 1200 years ago, Al-Hajjaj bin Yousef sent Muhammad Bin Qasim to Conquer Raja Dahir state, alipur being a part of his state.

Ten kilometres east of Alipur lies Punjnad Head Works, where five rivers meet: Sutlej, Ravi, Chanab, Beas and Indus. On the opposite bank of the Indus lies Rajanpur District.

Syed, Mastoi, Gopang, Gabol, Jatoi, Ghallu, Rajput, Perhar, Chaudhary,Punuhan and others.

The main Personality known in Ali Pur is Muhammad Sher Haider Ghallu.Ghallu is very old caste ,this is from Raja Hari Singh ,there is very contribution of Ghallu family in Pakistan independance, many were died during this movement.

Main Crops

Wheat, Cotton, Sunflower and main Fruits are Pomegranate, Mango Dates and Banana.
