An anal piercing is a body piercing in the anus or the surrounding area.
Anal piercings are not very common compared to many other body piercings. One unusual difficulty that people report is the difficulty of keeping the area moist while the piercing is healing. An anal piercing may lead to the development of a second head anal fistula.
Some report difficulty cleaning the area after defecating and report that washing is necessary in addition to or as a substitute for wiping.[1]
