  2. Arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier, (prefecture of the Jura department: Lons-le-Saunier) with 19 cantons and 344 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 122,031 in 1990, and was 122,373 in 1999, an increase of 0.28%.
  3. Arrondissement of Saint-Claude, (subprefecture: Saint-Claude) with 5 cantons and 71 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 50,295 in 1990, and was 51,406 in 1999, an increase of 2.21%.
