Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) Bangalore, India was a journalism college that ran from 1994 to 2000. It was launched by the Indian Express group through the BD Goenka Foundation. At that time it offered only a print course in Journalism. In 2000, ACJ was taken over by not for profit Trust founded by journalist and media entrepreneur, Sashi Kumar and shifted to Chennai. ACJ Chennai offers a print, TV and new media course.
A college like ACJ was the dream of the late Ramnath Goenka, proprietor of the Indian Express, but came into being only after his death. The founding dean of ACJ was Sunil Saxena and he was succeeded by Indian journalism's stylebook expert Jyoti Sanyal.
Kamlesh K Singh, Editor of Metro Now (launched by Metropolitan Media Company, a joint venture between The Times of India and Hindustan Times), is an alumni of ACJ. Vishweshwar Bhatt, Executive Managing Editor of Vijay Karnataka and author CK Meena, Black Lentil Doughnuts, were part of the faculty.
