August Martin High School is a New York City public high school located in Jamaica, Queens. In 2008, there were 1,217 students in grades 9-12 under principal Anthony Cromer. The school is a magnet school for Aviation, named after August Martin, the first African American commercial airline pilot. The school opened in 1971. 1
