Azran Osman-Rani was appointed Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X in July 2007. He leads the executive team that developed the detailed business plan, secured AirAsia X's Air Operator's Certificate, and selected AirAsia X's destinations through negotiations with airports and governments.
Prior to his appointment, Azran was a Senior Director of Business Development at Astro All Asia Networks plc, a Southeast Asian digital satellite television and radio broadcaster and content producer. He held previous positions at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and McKinsey & Company.
He holds a Master's degree in Management Science & Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Stanford University.
