BOH, or 3,4-methylenedioxy-beta-methoxyphenethylamine, is a lesser-known psychedelic drug. It is the beta-methoxy analog of MDPEA. BOH was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. In his book PiHKAL (Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved), the dosage range is listed as 80–120 mg, and the duration listed as 6–8 hours. BOH dilates the pupils, and produces anorexia and cold feet. Shulgin gives it a ++ on the Shulgin Rating Scale.1 Very little data exists about the pharmacological properties, metabolism, and toxicity of BOH.
