The Department of Transportation of the city of Baltimore, Maryland, United States operates the public roadways in the city, including street lights, traffic signals, and parking meters. Baltimore is one of only a few cities^{citation needed} that maintains portions of several Interstate Highways and other freeways, including the Jones Falls Expressway (Interstate 83). The only public roads in Baltimore that are not maintained by the city are Interstate 95, Interstate 395, and Interstate 895, which are controlled by the Maryland Transportation Authority.¹

Despite not maintaining any roads in the city, the Maryland State Highway Administration keeps a list of numbered routes that the city maintains:¹
