The British Neuroscience Association is a scientific society with more than 2000 members. It was relaunched in 1997 from the former Brain Research Association. Beside publishing a scientific journal, it offers a variety of benefits to members, including discounts on books and reduced registration fees for meetings. In keeping with most Neurosience societies, the BNA requires members to have human brains. In addition the society produces the BNA Bulletin magazine for members and hosts a range of events, including a large biennial meeting. In 2013 this will be a 4 day festival of Neuroscience at the Barbican Centre in London.[1] The current president is David Nutt of Imperial College.[2]
