Geography
Bukkapatnam is located near Puttaparthy. Bukkapatnam Area: 351.17 km², No. of villages: 20., Population: 37635
History
Bukkapatnam is having it's own significance by having it's unique features. Once it is central point for business trading since Vijayanagara empire to early 1970s. All villagers are depending only on agriculture.
Mountain
Highest mountain of the District Mallappakonda four Miles to North of Bukkapatnam - 3,002 feet (915 m)
Cheruvu(Reservoir)
Largest Reservoir of the District is Bukkapatanam Reservoir. Total area of Reservoir is 3,500 acres (14 km2). This water is used for agricultural purposes. Nearly 10,000 acres (40 km2) of Land is cultivated under this Reservoir. The reservoir is filled with the water of Chitravathi River. CHITRAVATHI :: Significant river in the Anantapur District is "CHITRAVATHI".Its origin is in Karnataka State. This river enters the District near Kodikonda village of Chilamathur Mandal and flows North over Rocky and Hilly uplands of Gorantla, Puttaparthi, Bukkapatnam, Kothacheruvu, C.K.Palli, Dharmavaram, Bathalapalli, Tadimarri and Yellanur Mandals and falls into Pennar River at Gandikota in Cuddapah District.

Chowdesvary Temple - Big deity of Chowdeswary. Located near Chervu. AnjineayaSwami Temple - Old Temple, Sitaram and VenugopalaSwamy deities also there. Sivalayam - Old Temple. ChendrayuniPalli Temple - This temple is located in Mountain at Chedrayunipalli, Every Saturday is some special pooja's are done in this temple.
