Carboprost ("carboprost tromethamine") is a synthetic prostaglandin analogue of 15-methyl-PGF2a with oxytocic properties. Can be used to induce labor or can trigger abortion in early pregnancy. It is e.g. used in mola hydatidosa. It is also used in the treatment of postpartum bleeding. Caution in asthmatic patients. The trade name is Hemabate
