The Central People's Government is the central government of the People's Republic of China in Beijing. According to the 1982 Constitution, "Central People's Government" is synonymous with the State Council.
History
In the first five years of the People's Republic (1949 to 1954), "Central People's Government" was the body with supreme power in the state. It was then composed of
- State Council (國務院)
- People's Revolutionary Military Committee (人民革命軍事委員會)
- Supreme People's Court (最高人民法院)
- Supreme People's Procuratorate (最高人民檢察署)
