Charlie Byrne was an Irish soccer player who played in the League of Ireland during the 1940s.
Byrne played for Ierne, Distillery (Dublin), Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers during his career. He was a right full or centre half for Bohemians from 1941 to 1943. He then signed for Rovers and helped them to an Inter-City Cup triumph over Bohs at the end of the 1942-43 season. He added FAI Cup winners medals to his collection with Rovers in 1944 and 1945.
Charlie died in 1989.
