History
Headquartered in Singapore and spearheaded by Addison Kang in 2007, Cherry Credits provides micropayment solutions for developers, publishers and aggregators of digital contents. Cherry Credits' billing system is powered by New Economy eXchange Technology (NEXT), a proprietary billing system developed in-house.
Cherry Credits' payment collection model targets consumers who do not possess credit cards, bank accounts and mobile payment accesses. The niche importance and existences of this group of consumers to businesses is illustrated in The Long Tail concept. Cherry Credits Physical Scratch Card
Binding the concept of scratch cards and Unified Global Virtual Credit (UGVC), Cherry Credits introduced a "purchase over the counter" global Physical Scratch Card with prepaid value.
The UGVC in the Cherry Credits Physical Scratch Card is referred to 'CC'. Consumers can purchase these scratch cards and use its' containing CC to purchase in-game items, subscriptions and other digital contents with Cherry Credits and any authorized merchants.
