Attractions

A big attraction is Myuna Farm, an interactive animal farm where people can come to meet farm animals such as pigs, goats, cows, bulls, chicken and even Kangaroos. . The farm has a train for children to ride to the outer sections of the farm. ashoni It is a popular venue for children and hosts an annual Christmas carol event. 5

Education

- Schools within Doveton include two state primary schools (Doveton North P.S and Doveton Heights which was formerly known as Doveton Primary) - and also one Catholic primary school (Holy Family Primary School) and one Christian primary school (Maranatha Christian School) for Prep - Grade 4. - There used to also be Doveton High School which was later known as Joseph Banks Secondary College and there was also Doveton West Primary School but they closed back on the 90's when the government decided to cut schools everywhere and amalgamate them with other local schools.

The former Doveton Secondary College, and the later Dandenong High School - Doveton Campus, closed its doors on Friday 28 November 2008, due to its involvement in the Dandenong Education Precinct Project. The amalgamation with Cleeland Secondary College and Dandenong High School, also means there will not be an "on-site" Doveton secondary school. Rather, Doveton Campus students will travel to Dandenong and Cleeland campuses by a school bus.

The new Dandenong High School will be incredibly advantageous for all students, in its educational and technological advances, through master planned architecture and plannings.

Community

The town has an Australian Rules football team competing in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League and a team, The Doveton Eagles, competing in the Southern Football League.6

Doveton also has a soccer club which participates in Division 3 (south-east) of the Victorian State League.
