Graham Virgo

Graham Virgo is a fellow of, Director of Studies in Law at and Senior Tutor at Downing College, Cambridge and a Professor in Law at the University of Cambridge.[1] He is the author of works on the Law of Restitution and the Criminal Law.

Virgo graduated from Downing College in 1987 after obtaining a BA in Law. He was made Professor of English Private Law at Downing in October 2007. He lectures and supervises the study of criminal law and the law of restitution, and currently lectures in the law of contract. Virgo is a member of the Faculty of Law, Cambridge. He is a recipient of The Pilkington Teaching Prize of Cambridge University in Law (2002), recognized for Outstanding Teaching in Law in Cambridge University.

He has published a book entitled The Principles of Equity and Trusts.

He is a keen actor and is currently a member of Gamlingay Players, where he recently directed Alan Ayckbourne's Table Manners and Living Together, as well as performing in various plays himself.
