This is a list of islands under the Republic of China administration (islands claimed but not administered by the ROC are not included on this list). All of these islands are claimed by the People's Republic of China.

Under the jurisdiction of Taiwan Province

• Taiwan Island (台灣島; Taipei Municipality and Kaohsiung Municipality, also located on Taiwan Island, are not part of Taiwan])
  • Lalu (拉魯島) in the Sun Moon Lake on Taiwan Island

  • Keelung Islet (基隆嶼)
  • The Three Northern Islands (北方三島)
    • Huaping Islet (花瓶嶼)
    • Mianhua Islet (棉花嶼)
    • Pengjia Islet (彭佳嶼)

• Penghu County (covering all of the Pescadores Islands (澎湖群島))
  • Penghu (澎湖島)
  • Baisha (白沙島)
  • Siyu/ Yuwong (西嶼/漁翁島)
  • Cimei (七美嶼)
  • Wang-an (望安島)

• Pingtung County
  • Hsiao Liuchiu (Little Ryukyu; 琉球嶼)

• Taitung County
  • Green Island/ Ludao (綠島)
  • Orchid Island/ Lanyu/ Ponso no Tao (蘭嶼)

• Yilan County
  • Gueishan Island (龜山島; Turtle Mount)
  • Tiaoyutai Islands (釣魚台列嶼; sovereignty disputed; under the control of Japan as Senkaku Islands)

Under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province

• Kinmen County
  • Kinmen (金門島)
    • Lesser Kinmen/ Xiao Jinmen (小金門)
  • Wuchiu (烏坵)

• Lienchiang County
  • Matsu Islands (馬祖列島)
    • Beigan (北竿)
    • Nangan (南竿)
  • Dongyin (東引)
  • Siyin (西引)
  • Jyuguang (莒光)
    • Dongjyu (東莒)
    • Sijyu (西莒)
    • Yongliou (永留嶼)
  • Liang Island (亮島)
  • Gaodeng (高登)

Under the jurisdiction of Kaohsiung Municipality

• Cijin (旗津島; formerly a longshore bar connected to the island of Taiwan)
• South China Sea Islands (南海諸島)
  • Pratas Islands/ Dongsha (東沙群島)
  • Spratly Islands/ Nansha (南沙群島; disputed with several Southeast Asian countries)
    • Taiping/ Itu Aba (太平島; disputed with several Southeast Asian countries)
      • Chung-Chou (中洲礁; disputed with several Southeast Asian countries)

The South China Sea islands were part of Guangdong Province, and later the Hainan Special Administrative Region, before the relocation of the ROC government to Taipei in 1949. The ROC claims all the South China Sea Islands, but only administers Pratas and Taiping. (Note: the ROC/Taiwan government does not actively claiming the right of other South China Sea islands other than those above.)
