Nickelodeon Central is an area inside five of Cedar Fair Entertainment Co.'s parks and Dreamworld. Each one has unique attractions, and took the place of the Hanna Barbara or Other Nickelodeon areas. The first Nickelodeon Central opened in 2000 at Kings Dominion, followed in 2001 by Kings Island, Dreamworld in 2002, and in 2003 at Carowinds, Great America, and Canada's Wonderland. The Carowinds area was expanded in 2005, taking over Animation Station (That park's incarnation of Hanna Barbara Land) and Zoom Zone. The Kings Island area was also expanded in 2006, and was renamed to Nickelodeon Universe. In 2007 the first European Nick area opened at Movie Park Germany named "NICK Land".

Canada's Wonderland Shows are held in Playhouse Theatre, actually part of the Kidzville section of the park, separated from Nickelodeon Central by Hanna Barbera Land.

Movie Park Germany does not have a theatre for Nickelodeon productions, but instead runs a small song-and-dance show featuring Dora, SpongeBob, Patrick, and Jimmy Neutron near the park's entrance.
Characters
Each park has a rotating schedule of Nickelodeon costumed characters that meet and greet with guests, daily. Not all characters are at all parks, due to popularity and cast sizes. While characters may appear at one park on occasion, they are not guaranteed to appear daily. Characters with an asterisk after their name are believed to only have appeared in the Nickelodeon Celebration park parade, which played at Canada's Wonderland, California's Great America, Carowinds, Kings Island, and Kings Dominion from 2004-2007.
