Shrek: Music from the Original Motion Picture is the soundtrack of the 2001 Academy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated animated feature Shrek.

The album was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music (lost to the score of Moulin Rouge!) and the Grammy Award for "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" (lost to the score of O Brother, Where Art Thou?).

Shrek 2: Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack for the hit animated comedy film Shrek 2 and was released in May 2004, to accompany the release of the film. The soundtrack reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the soundtrack albums as well as reaching the top 40 of the Australian album charts. The lead single, "Accidentally in Love" by the Counting Crows, reached the top ten of the Billboard Adult Top 40 and the top 20 of the world soundtrack singles charts and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. The soundtrack also features two versions of the 1980s Bonnie Tyler hit "Holding Out for a Hero".

Shrek 2: Party CD is a bonus CD released exclusively at US Wal-Mart stores[21] alongside the Shrek 2 film. The bonus CD features six songs taken from the Far Far Away Idol ending featured at the end of the film as well as six karaoke tracks of the same six songs.[22] The songs are credited to the characters who sang the songs.[20]

Shrek the Third: Motion Picture Soundtrack, the soundtrack for the film Shrek the Third was released on May 15, 2007 on Columbia and Geffen Records.[25] A wide range of artists are featured in this soundtrack, including Paul McCartney & Wings, Led Zeppelin, Eels, The Ramones, pop/R&B singer Fergie, and Wolfmother. Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas perform another duet, a cover of Sly & the Family Stone's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)".

Henry Jackman, the composer for Puss in Boots, utilized folk instruments of traditional Latin music. Inspired by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla, Jackman blended guitars and Latin percussion with an orchestral sound influenced by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.[34] Also, Lady Gaga's song 'Americano' was contributed, but not in the official soundtrack.
