The spinal trigeminal nucleus is a nucleus in the medulla that receives information about light touch, pain, and temperature from the ipsilateral face. The facial, glossopharyngeal, and vagus nerves also convey pain information from their areas to the spinal trigeminal nucleus.^[1]
