Bio and awards
He (probably) received more awards, we need to expand on that.

I need help writing this article
The more I read about Gross, the more I realize that this article BY FAR does not give credit to his achievements. Do a search on "Al Gross" and see all the results. We need to go through all the sources and write up a really good article. Who knows, maybe we'll hit the featured article if we do things right! --cslarsen 12:20, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Full name?
Seems his full name was actually Irving Alfred (J.?) Gross, see the VirginiaTech image database and check out the W8PAL certificate scans. If you search Google patents, you find his inventions under Irving A. Gross, see http://www.google.com/patents?q=irving+a.+gross&btnG=Search+Patents --cslarsen 10:33, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
