Tsubata (津幡町 Tsubata-machi) is a town located in Kahoku District, Ishikawa, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 35,467 and a density of 321.14 persons per km². The total area is 110.44 km².
The mayor of Tsubata is Kiso Yoshinaka.
Natural features of Tsubata are Mount Sangoku, Kohokugata Lake and the Tsubata and Omi rivers.
There is a zoo in Tsubata's Shinrin Park which has a variety of local wildlife.
In Tsubata there is Tsubata Junior High School as well as Tsubata Minami Junior High School.
Elementary schools are: Jonan Elementary School, Inoe Elementary School, Chujo Elementary School, Tsubata Elementary School, Karius Elementary School, Haginodai Elementary School, Kasano Elementary School, Agata Elementary School, Oshirodai Elementary School
Tsubata is famous for makomo.[citation needed]
There is a department store called Plant 3.
Tsubata has 4 train stations: Tsubata Station, Naka Tsubata, Hon Tsubata, and Nose.
