The University Athletic Association, Inc. (UAA) was founded in 1929. The UAA is a non-profit organization that is responsible for maintaining the intercollegiate athletic program for the Florida Gators.

The Athletic Association is overseen by the Controller and the Gator Boosters. Since 1990 the University Athletic Association has given the University of Florida nearly $40 million dollars to support educational programs.[1]

One of the responsibilities of the University of Florida Athletic Director is to act as Chief Financial Officer for the (UAA).[2]
