This page is for requesting that a page, image or template be fully protected, semi-protected, move-protected or unprotected. Please read up on the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to Wikipedia:High-risk templates; semi-protection is usually used only to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars After a page has been protected, the protection is listed in the page history and logs with a short description indicating why it was protected, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. Further discussion should take place on the Talk page of the article. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins do not revert back to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

Temporary semi or full protection - Yellow Evan continues to run against precedent and continuously reverts merging of several articles. He is not helping things and is creating the same articles with copy and pastes over and over again. If it is possible, I'd like both to be either semi'd or full'd till he gets the hint of what he's doing. The Boris article he's instated 4 times (3 after merges), and the 2nd, Elida has been 3 (with 2 after merges). Full protect there's a slow moving edit war, and people don't seem to want to use the talk page properly. It'd be a good idea to lock it for a while to ensure people use the talk page to get a consensus of what changes are needed (I'm completely uninvolved with the article, just noticing it on my watchlist) how do you turn this on 16:39, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Here is the request to lock all deleted ANTM contestant articles which was considered as recreation:

This might be turned down simply because it is an AfD - however take a look and please note that there is clear evidence of disruptive sock puppets appearing at this AfD - representing both the Keep and Delete perspectives. If an admin could take a further look that would be appreciated, it is possible blocks could help out with regard to these WP:SPAs, as opposed to page-protection. Temporary full protection. Subjects are involved in the Olympic age controversy and the pages have been subject to persistent vandalism, edit warring, POV edits and OR from various IP, single-purpose accounts and established users. All three have had to be semi-protected at least twice since August. Since there is no current news on these subjects and there is none expected for some time, locking the articles to prevent the current edit warring seems prudent.
