Overview

There are many active biology WikiProjects. The purpose of this project is to provide common ground for editors in these projects, for seeking advice or requesting help from a broader community of biology editors, and for coordinating the perpetual problem of categorization of biology articles. (For some time, this page has redirect to Portal:Biology, where the talk page served that purpose.)

Category maintenance

Many biology categories are in a bad way. They tend to fill up with articles on minor topics that are better placed in subcategories (or sub-subcategories, etc.).
