Articles needing attention
A continuous goal of this project is to improve sub-articles referenced in the Kentucky article as well as any article related to the subject of Kentucky. With the advent of WikiProject Kentucky's assessment system, articles can be flagged for attention or merging using parameters to the project template. For details, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Kentucky/Assessment#Articles needing attention.
Using the template will add articles needing attention to one of the categories below as appropriate. Please review these categories periodically to see if you can help.
Also, see the full list of all Kentucky-related stubs. Project members should try to improve stubs at least to the point where the stub notices can be removed.
Requested articles
Following are potential articles that project members have requested be created for the Wikipedia. However, if you know of a notable subject for an article that isn't listed here and want to create the article right away, you're more than welcome to proceed.
-
- Kentucky Civil War regiments, most of which are not covered yet. The original formation of the Orphan Brigade lists several Kentucky Confederate Units.
- Spanish Conspiracy, once also known as the "Kentucky Conspiracy". How close did Kentucky come to seceding from the US and joining the Spanish Empire? Inquiring minds want to know! Not the same affair as the later Burr conspiracy, though some of the players were the same. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]
- Longhunter - This article needs a section regarding the long hunters' influence in the early exploration and settlement of Kentucky.
- Agriculture in Kentucky (include history)
- Businesses of Kentucky, list of businesses headquartered or operating in Kentucky
- Economy of Kentucky
- Green River Area Development District - Seven counties near Owensboro and Henderson coordinate technology & transportation projects, among others, through their fiscal courts (and possibly other bodies?). Would be nice to have coverage of why it exists, whether similar districts exist statewide, and a complete discussion of their history and current role.
- Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP)
- R.J. Corman, founder of the R.J. Corman Railroad Company
- Ralph G. Anderson, engineer & founder of Belcan Corporation
- Various high schools on the List of high schools in Kentucky
- State Parks and State Forests — Check out the red links in List of Kentucky state parks and List of Kentucky state forests
- National Historic Landmarks in Kentucky - updated May 22, 2007.
- Boone Helm, "The Kentucky Cannibal". Not one of your favourite sons, I'm sure, and most of his infamous career was not in Kentucky. I've come across various web articles on him and think he's "missing" from the Outlaws of the Old West category in a big way. I'm not good at starting bios so decided to suggest it on his home turf.....
