This WikiProject is in the process of transition from a Martian geography only project to a general Mars project. In general,follow the model of the Mars Reconaissance Orbiter homepage.

An article should contain the following sections:

1. History of the spacecraft-> This can include launch issues, end of life of the spacecraft, funding issues, major milestones (Launch, Orbit, landing, major discoveries), etc.
2. What was learned from the mission. For newer and future missions, this may not be included.
3. Description of scientific instruments
4. Description of the spacecraft
5. See Also section
6. Footnote section
7. Other external references
