Purge

Do you think it would be helpful to purge this list of people who are now inactive? For example, no contributions in 2007. Colin°Talk 19:07, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Or dump to a list of "Inactive members"? -- MarcoTolo 22:45, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

What is the definition of "inactive"? JFW | T@lk 21:53, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

  • I'm about to make the to charts (Inactive and Previous Members) part of an expandable chart / box. If someone thinks this is a bad idea, tell me here or on my talk page. Garvin Talk 23:08, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
I just saved the page with collapsible tables for Inactive and Previous Participants. Next I will make the Active Participants chart collapsible, but have it un-collapsed by default. Also, I will not move the active participants chart to a sub-page so that new members will be able to add themselves more easily. Garvin Talk 23:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
All three charts are now collapsible. Since this probably solves this discussion topic, it can probably be removed soon. Garvin Talk 00:12, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, actually, after a long career-enforced absence from wikiland, I've come back to once again be bold, as I have a new career path, and found that its a bit of a pain in butt moving my name from the inactive list back to the active list. Is there an easy way? Mattopaedia (talk) 01:55, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
The way you have done it seems correct: Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Participants/Inactive or Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Participants/Previous and cut and paste yourself from that list to re-add yourself to the chart at Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine/Participants. The current setup (only the "active" chart appearing in the code for the participants page) is designed to make it easy for newcommers (only one chart = can't mistakingly add to the wrong chart). If it would be easier to maintain, perhaps all three charts could be moved back to one page.Garvin Talk 04:50, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
