This is a Chinese name; the family name is Xun.

Xun You (Stylename: Gōngdá) (157 - 214) was an advisor to Cao Cao during the Three Kingdoms era of China. He later opposed Cao Cao taking the title King of Wei. His uncle, Xun Yu, was much more well known. In the Wade-Giles version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, he and his uncle have the same name, Hsun Yu. He helped advised Cao Cao in the Battle of Red Cliffs alongside Cheng Yu. He served many lords such as He Jin, Yuan Shu, Dong Zhuo, and finally Cao Cao.
