ZYZZYVA (ISSN 8756-5633) is a triquarterly journal of West Coast writers and artists. Based in San Francisco, California, it has been publishing since 1985 and is edited by Howard Junker. ZYZZYVA's slogan is "The Last Word," referring to "zyzzyva," the last word in the American Heritage Dictionary. A zyzzyva is an American weevil. The accent is on the first syllable.
